Tshering Apple farm, Paro

Tshering Sherpa is pioneering the “no-dig” practice on her farm in Paro valley along with her apple orchard, one of first LOAS (local organic) certified orchard in Bhutan. This is the second year running that she has supplied her organic apples to Bhutan Blossoms which will be processed and used in our teas

Durungri Pineapple Group, Pemagatshel

Durungri Pineapple Group in the remote village of Durungri in Pemagatshel has over 50 registered farmers growing pineapples. Bhutan Blossoms sourced from the Durungi Pineapple Group local organic (LOAS) certified pineapples for the #firstcampaign, and still has dried pineapples. The Durungi group has recently secured a guaranteed market from a large food manufacturer in Bhutan. To source local organic certified pineapples in the future, Bhutan Blossoms has therefore partnered with the Pangbang Youth Cooperative.

Chilli from Dawakha

The fiery chillis are sourced from a group of farmers in Dawakha in Paro. Bhutan Blossoms has been purchasing Bhutanese red chillis from this group for the past 3 years.

Lemon pepper from Langthel

Bhutanese lemon peppers (commonly known as Szechuan Pepper) are harvested from the wild by 3-4 farmers from a Non-Wood Forest Product Group called Namther Throgmen Tshogpa located in Langthel in Trongsa.

Spearmint from Kabesa and Khatokha

Spearmint grows naturally around farms and is harvested by a few farmers in Kabesa in Punakha and in Khatokha in Wangduephodrag.

Lemon verbena and peppermint from Trongsa and Drubchu

The majority of lemon verbena and peppermint is grown by a young farmer in Kuengarabten in Trongsa. A smaller amount of lemon verbena is grown by the Drubchu Resort in Punakha.
