Bhutan Blossoms creates authentic organic food products with naturally grown herbs, spices and vegetables from Bhutan, perfected with precious edible flowers.
The company was founded with the purpose to address social and environmental challenges in Bhutan. Bhutan Blossoms encourages organic farming practices while being guided by the philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH).
The social mission of Bhutan Blossoms is to empower smallholding farming communities through strong partnerships and cost-sharing mechanisms. The environmental mission is to help preserve Bhutan’s rich biodiversity through food systems that foster organic and agroecological practices.
Bhutan Blossoms works in close partnership with the Drachukha Flower Group, a group founded by young entrepreneurial women from a farming community in Bhutan’s Jigme Dorji National Park. Bhutan Blossoms recently started a partnership with Tashithang Biodynamic Group, a farmers group that is growing diverse ingredients on a food forest farm in the subtropical belt of Southern Bhutan. In addition, Bhutan Blossoms sources ingredients from several other famers groups and cooperatives across Bhutan. Most of the ingredients are EU Organic certified or Local Organic (LOAS) certified.
